About Me.....

I am a native Calgarian, and a mother of two boys. I have always been curious about people's life stories, and feel genuine compassion for others. My 25 year profession as an Elementary and Junior High teacher has exposed me to the many psychological, physical, social, spiritual, and academic challenges encountered by youth today. My experiences as an educator and mother encouraged me to pursue a Masters in Counselling Psychology. I am motivated to facilitate positive mental health practices, and advocate for youth so they may reach their full potential. My ability to accommodate for various learning needs in the classroom has provided a solid background for my work as a school counsellor. I am passionate about helping students to explore their unique strengths and abilities so that they may persevere in life!
