  • is achieved when meaning making can emerge out of life's struggles and problem stories.

  • is grounded in individuals' desires to be valued, heard, feel a sense of belonging, self worth and purpose.

  • is dependent upon positive human relationships.

  • is reliant on awareness of personal strengths and competencies. 

  • is a continual process of self-discovery.
